What the heart does

The Ancient's Heart generates 20% Devil Tears after every three hostile melee or ranged kills while held in your inventory. It can also collect liquid when dragged over a puddle.

Get and use it

  1. Find the Artifacts Room. Solve the Sterling Mines artifact puzzle, separate from the Jade Sword tablet door.
  2. Choose carefully. Only one artifact can be chosen per run; the heart is especially relevant to Old Faithful liquid fuel.
  3. Keep it in inventory. Friendly kills do not count, and the article says dropping it resets the current kill counter.
